Job Title: Draftsman for Aluminum

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a skilled Draftsman for Aluminum to join our team at Drawlines Consult WLL.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and preparing tender drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and material order lists.
  • They will review structural and architectural drawings and prepare detailed engineering drawings for aluminum and glazing works.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure that structural checks are done for all related details (i.e., aluminum, glass, brackets, etc.).
  • They will make alterations on the aluminum shop drawings in coordination with Project Managers.
  • The Draftsman for Aluminum will prepare fabrication drawings and cutting lists of profiles, glass, and steel work orders and material indents.
  • They will provide approved detailed shop drawings with component schedules (profiles/gaskets/accessories/hardware schedule).
  • The successful candidate will coordinate between Tender, BDD, PMD, Factory, and Site for timely delivery of fabricated items as per priority.
  • They will advise on drawings and technical issues with clients or architects when necessary.
  • The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of structural mechanics applied in facade design.
  • Must have experience in piping fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and prepare tender drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and material order lists.
