Quality Assurance Expert Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Expert to join our Drilling Operations team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement quality assurance procedures for procurement, manufacturing, delivery, and installation of equipment and services.
  2. Work closely with Drilling & Completion and other Subsurface departments to coordinate quality control functions.
  3. Develop and implement inspection acceptance and rejection criteria, as well as maintenance procedures for new equipment.
  4. Assist in evaluating engineering test results for R&D Projects and Prototype Equipment.
  5. Perform failure analysis, interpret lab analysis results, and generate reports containing conclusions and recommendations.
  6. Provide on-site assistance during equipment installation and execution of services to ensure compliance with company procedures and contract specifications.
  7. Witness and supervise pre-job inspection activities related to service contractors' equipment.
  8. Provide effective training and development of Drilling and Completion personnel in quality assurance procedures.
  9. Monitor and benchmark progress in all quality assurance activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • At least 8 years' experience in drilling/oilfield related inspection, manufacturing, or quality/procurement.
  • 2 years' experience in a position requiring minimal daily supervision.
  • 5 years' general background in quality assurance/quality control programs related to goods and services used in drilling and completion operations.
  • Thorough knowledge of sound quality assurance practices and industry standards (API, ISO 9000, ASME, NACE, etc.).
