Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal guidance and support to senior management and various departments on real estate matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and other legal documents related to real estate transactions.
  • Advise on regulatory and compliance matters affecting the company's real estate activities.
  • Conduct due diligence on properties, including title, zoning, and permitting issues.
  • Handle disputes, litigation, and claims related to real estate transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal real estate laws, as well as industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with external legal teams and counsel as needed for specialized legal matters.
  • Develop and implement company policies to mitigate legal risks and ensure proper legal procedures are followed.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in real estate laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Assist in corporate governance matters and provide legal support on mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff and stakeholders on legal risks and best practices in real estate.
  • Review and advise on property acquisitions, sales, development projects, and financing structures.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Law degree (Juris Doctor or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Valid legal license to practice law in [country].
  • 5+ years of legal experience in real estate law, with a focus on corporate real estate or commercial transactions.
  • Strong understanding of real estate law, including property transactions, leases, zoning, land use, and construction law.
  • Experience negotiating and drafting complex contracts and legal documents.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
