The Amentum team is seeking a highly skilled Munitions Inspector to join our mission. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient storage, inspection, testing, transportation, and maintenance of U.S. Air Force (USAF) Munitions, Munitions Material Handling Equipment (MMHE), and supporting resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce all USAF and host nation explosives safety, AFOSH, and security standards during explosives operations in assigned sites and temporary duty locations.
- Monitor and address any issues impacting munitions operations, up-channelling them to Munitions Control and Superintendent as necessary.
- Take control and ensure timely response actions during emergencies, prioritizing the safety of personnel and equipment.
- Conduct quality-assured munitions work according to established processes, identifying potential problems and recommending solutions.
- Supervise Other Country National (OCN) Munitions Workforce while providing clear instructions on tasks.
- Inspect munitions and containers in accordance with 11A=1=10 technical directives, maintaining accurate records of serviceability and accountability actions.
- Work closely with operations personnel to resolve any discrepancies or issues noted during inspections.
- Conduct warehouse inventories and correct discrepancies, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory records.
- Provide support to deployed forces' custody accounts, adhering to stringent explosives standards.
- Inspection and certification of munitions brass, residue, and containers in accordance with 11A-1-60 guidelines.
- Operate Theater Integrated Combat Munitions Systems (TICMS) according to Site-specific procedures.
- Perform reconditioning, repairs, and replacements of defective or missing parts of munitions and containers.
- Maintain explosives standards during storage actions, ensuring the secure storage of munitions and equipment.
- Inspect, operate, and perform operator maintenance on light vehicles, handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual hoists.
- Inspect and operate electronic test equipment, metal strapping tools, stencil machines, heat sealers, pneumatic paint guns, air compressors, and power tools.
- Conduct minor maintenance on facilities and installed equipment, cleaning vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
- Deliver general and explosive safety briefings for explosives operations, emphasizing the importance of safety protocols.
- Assume entry-controller duties as required, working varied shifts, including stand-by duties, to support mission requirements during peacetime and combat contingencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
