Job Title: Senior Tendering Engineer

Hitachi Energy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tendering Engineer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As a key member of our business, you will be responsible for administering, consulting, and negotiating product or service contracts with external customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze technical and commercial requirements to define products or applications for bid opportunities.
  • Responsible for all technical, financial, and management aspects of bids/estimates/proposals.
  • Prepare technical/commercial proposals/bids/tenders for internal and external customers.
  • Directly responsible for complete documentation for respective tenders as per client requirements.
  • Compile and calculate total costs of projects, including materials, services, engineering hours, project management hours, and service man-hours.
  • Prepare necessary internal requirements for management approvals.
  • Attend tender clarifications and negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and requirements, such as Integrity, OHS, and Risk Review.
  • Mitigate risks in bids and contracts and lead the Risk Review process.
  • Maintain relevant backup documents for all bids and proposals.
  • Take responsibility for associated handover documentation in the event of an order.
  • Book orders on SAP/Reiwa system and hand over to Project team.
  • Maintain data in SFDC.
  • Keep track of changes and modifications in projects.
  • Familiar with general specifications and market requirements.
  • Complete understanding of Single Line Diagrams & Equipment Arrangement Layouts.
  • Review proposals towards optimized and customized solutions for various tenders (GIS, PASS).
  • Familiar with risks and hazards within activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices, and measures in place to mitigate risks.
  • Prepare comparative analysis documents related to specs, price, delivery conditions, and mode of transportation.
  • Analyze and report on tender outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Engaged in preparation & compilation of necessary documents, information, and technical inputs required for completion of tender documentation.
  • Collaborate with SCM/feeder factories having good understanding about strategic sourcing and do Vendor Offer evaluations.
  • Finalize tender sourcing plan appropriately.
  • Review Cash flow documents and inputs from Contracts & legal teams and take conclusive decisions during submissions.
  • Compile with responsibilities as per quality procedures and quality manual.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in sales/tendering/sales support in a multinational company.
  • Experience with tenders of different size, complexity, and scope types.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English language.
