About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Animation Specialist to join our team at West Bay beach, a premier leisure venue in Doha. As an Animation Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our beach and recreation department, while providing an exceptional experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control recreation equipment inventories, investigating and reporting any discrepancies to the Supervisor or Assistant Outlet Manager.
  • Ensure all recreational equipment and facilities are well-maintained, cleaned, and safe to operate at all times, reporting any safety issues or hazards to the Supervisor or Assistant Outlet Manager.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly activities schedules for both kids and adults, creating and communicating plans regarding current and upcoming activities across the venue and with other team members.
  • Assist guests with information related to the beach areas and facilities, motivating them to participate in different activities by actively moving across the venue and creating a positive vibe.
  • Display a positive attitude with a natural approach to ensure that kids remain engaged throughout the activities, briefing parents to remain within the vicinity and kept informed in case of any challenges arising.
  • Ensure that guests complete waiver formalities for all required activities and maintain records, delivering the highest standards of guest satisfaction by proactively engaging with guests, seeking their feedback, and communicating development ideas to the Beach and Recreation Operations Manager.
  • Encourage customers to share constructive feedback through reviews, surveys, and one-to-one basis, proposing new ideas for improvising and organizing new beach and recreation activities, activations, and events around themes or special events to drive sales.
  • Perform other department duties related to the position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience as an animator or sport instructor, preferably in a 5-star hotel.
  • Experienced in conducting different sports and team-building activities for large groups suitable for a beach environment.
  • Ability to work in beach venue conditions (indoor and outdoor).
  • Experienced in working with kids, preparing and conducting activities suitable for different age groups.
  • Ability to motivate and encourage others, with a confident, positive, energetic, and approachable charisma.
  • Excellent experience in people and customer management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills, with additional language (such as Arabic) an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational, strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a positive attitude.
  • Work dynamically as an individual and as a team player.
