Job Description:
As a Principal Geophysicist at QatarEnergy, you will play a key role in planning, supervising, and controlling the collection, processing, analysis, and evaluation of geophysical data for well and reservoir studies. You will provide geophysical support for QatarEnergy fields and conduct reservoir management activities in interdisciplinary reservoir study teams.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Data Acquisition and Processing: Plan and supervise the acquisition, processing, analyses/interpretation of geophysical data.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Use geophysical, geological, and petrophysical data to determine presence, quality, and type of hydrocarbons, fluid contacts, rock matrix constituents, and properties from wells and seismic.
  • Reservoir Modeling: Supervise and develop geophysical descriptions of formations, characterize hydrocarbon reservoirs, and build models for reservoir simulation and field development planning.
  • Field Development Planning: Plan and develop geophysical inputs into full life cycle field development activities, and influence management decisions on drilling and development strategies.
