Job Overview

The Lead Pipeline Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality pipeline engineering definitions and designs that meet the organization's standards and project requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Review and comment on project documents related to the pipeline discipline, ensuring compliance with design dossier, SOR, Company specifications, etc.
  • Ensure the design follows the approved SOR, basis of design, and project standards, capturing and managing any changes as per project change management plan.
  • Promote fit-for-purpose design to reduce and optimize planning and costs.
  • Coordinate and issue project responses to contractors' and vendors' requests on engineering design clarifications and TQR.
  • Identify potential deviations/derogations to the organization and assist in preparing deviation packages.
  • Consult E&C department on pipeline derogation requests and interface with relevant TRP to secure needed approvals.
  • Review final project documentation, including final dossiers and as-built drawings.
Requirements
  • Qualifications
  • Engineering degree qualification (Mechanical or Civil)
  • Senior engineer with a good level of technical understanding of all relevant technical disciplines
  • At least 10 years' experience of pipeline engineering on offshore oil & gas projects
  • Operational experience of offshore pipeline installation is a plus
  • Strong leadership skills and good communication skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Familiar with Total general specifications is a plus, and with relevant codes and standards
  • Fluent English
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment
