About the Role

Qatar Airways is seeking a skilled Global Security Risk Analyst to join our Group Risk, Safety & Security team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of an effective intelligence research and analysis capability within the Geopolitical Threat and Risk (T&R) team.

You will research, analyze, and assess security threats to QR people, assets, and/or operations to support decision making and enable effective response measures to be implemented. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Researching and analyzing various information regarding security threats gathered from open and closed sources to make sound risk-based assessments and recommendations.
  2. Tracking and monitoring security incident data through daily incident trackers to identify trends and patterns and enable the team to proactively identify emerging security threats to QR people, assets, and/or operations.
  3. Drafting key security advice and recommendations to support the communication of security information to QR people through internal platforms, including GEMS City Risk Profiles, Security Briefings, Bulletins, and Advisories on a strategic, tactical, and operational level.

You will also support the annual review of the GEMS City Risk Profiles by reviewing security advice and recommendations for each QR station to ensure accurate, relevant, and current information is provided to internal stakeholders. Additionally, you will draft quality analytical reports and presentations to support the Geopolitical T&R team's management in briefing senior leadership and/or stakeholders on key security issues.

Key Requirements

  • Relevant College or University qualification with a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience.
  • Experience in providing advice on geo-political security issues, including terrorism, conflict, crime, and civil unrest.
  • Experience in security intelligence analysis.
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret security data from a wide variety of sources (open and closed sources) and make sound risk-based judgments and recommendations.
  • Experience in aviation security threat and risk management within a global landscape will be highly desirable.
