Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Weight Management Engineer to join our team in Qatar. As a key member of the Wood Doha office, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality work across various project scopes.

In this role, you will oversee the execution of project work according to the project execution plan. You will ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with Wood and/or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control. Your primary focus will be on meeting project targets in terms of man-hours, cost, and schedule.

The successful candidate will have experience in working on oil and gas projects, particularly in brownfield and green field opportunities. You will be multi-skilled and able to handle conceptual studies, optimization work, and FEEDs as part of a large team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading weight management efforts
  • Involved in conceptual studies, optimization work, and FEEDs
  • Providing technical and supervisory support to offshore projects
  • Interface with engineering disciplines and lead efforts to apply weight control methods
  • Developing and implementing weight management plans including:
  • Establishing system weight management processes
  • Estimating system and component weights
  • Assessing weight risk on systems
  • Tracking and reporting weight status
  • Implementing weight reduction plans
