At RIXOS, we are seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer Leader to join our engineering team. As a Facilities Engineer Leader, you will play a critical role in maintaining the hotel's plant and equipment to ensure smooth operations and provide an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair plant equipment, including chillers, AC, chilled water pumps, boilers, and refrigeration systems.
  • Ensure health and safety legislation records are up-to-date and maintained.
  • SOURCE AND CONTRACT SUPPLIERS AS REQUIRED FOR EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE.
  • ORGANIZE SCHEDULES & METHOD OF WORKS AND RISK ASSESSMENTS FOR PLANT-RELATED AREAS.
  • Be on call for any plant emergency and perform regular PPM checks.
  • Manage air conditioning and refrigeration system management and servicing.
  • Participate in hotel energy conservation programs.
  • Attend all on-job training in accordance with departmental standards and procedures.
  • Supervise the issue of tools relating to the Engineering department and their safe return.
  • Oversee contractors working on site, ensuring their safety induction and maintenance of records of all jobs undertaken.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers.
  • Raise, accept, and monitor purchase orders.
  • Accept deliveries in a timely manner.
  • Supervise the maintenance team and external contractors employed by the hotel.
  • Ensure all health and safety records are kept up-to-date.
  • Participate in the fire team and assist in emergencies.
  • Monitor utility readings to ensure good power management.
  • Stay aware of changes in regulations and environmental issues.
  • Perform other work reasonably required and be available for emergency callouts.
  • Work closely with the Assistant Director of Engineering to reorganize the department for efficient processes.
  • Plan small guest projects to minimize impact.
  • Oversee the team's work and contractors' work to meet deadlines and set standards.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar role in a five-star luxury hotel or resort.
  • Must have experience as an electrician and knowledge in electrical skills.
