Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chiller Plant Operator to join our team at The Chedi Katara Hotel & Resort. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of our air conditioning systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, monitor, install, and adjust heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and repair heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems and equipment, including reciprocating chillers, rotary screw chillers, heat exchangers, fans, pumps, and electric and pneumatic controls.
  • Perform routine and planned preventive maintenance as scheduled to prevent equipment failures and downtime.
  • Ensure the safe operation of BMS systems, data and property management systems, and air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
  • Operate and maintain AC/refrigeration equipment, including HVAC layout, blueprints, technical manuals, and record keeping.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including chiller operation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme temperatures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
