Business Development Officer

Develop and execute business and marketing strategies in collaboration with the line manager to achieve revenue targets. Identify and acquire new clients in the POS and e-commerce sectors through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship building. Foster strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure client satisfaction and consistent revenue growth as targeted by management.
- Strengthen client relationships and ensure the successful continuation of business from clients.
- Research and identify new business opportunities.
- Drive sales growth by initiating contact with potential clients, nurturing relationships, and facilitating the sale of products, including software solutions and services within the payments sector.
- Negotiate with merchants/clients and finalize terms and conditions during contract renewal/amendment.
- Prepare monthly performance reports and client visit reports.
- Meet projections anticipated from three months and above.
- Identify opportunities for product enhancement or new product development through comprehensive analysis of market trends and competitor activities.
- Facilitate client requirement meetings, both in person and/or remotely using current online applications.
- Respond to client queries regarding products in a timely manner.
- Able to address client questions technically.
- Proactively research and evaluate new sourcing and research ideas and methods to create innovative sourcing strategies.
- Assist in company branding and media communication activities, such as advertisements, marketing collaterals, and website.
- Determine cross-selling opportunities among different products.
- Supervise the client relationship management database and utilize it to manage customer contacts and mailing lists.
- Reach sales targets given by top management (monthly, quarterly, biannually, annually).
- Expert English communication skills, with Arabic an advantage.
- Creative and strategic mindset.
- Negotiation and closing deals.
- Professionalism with colleagues and client relationships (B2B and B2C).
- Flexible to changing conditions and possessing a high level of integrity.
- Expert knowledge of various business principles, such as marketing strategy, financial analysis, and supply chain oversight.
- Risk Management & Financial Analysis planning and implementation.
- Degree in Financial Marketing, Management, Business Information Systems, or similar.
- Extensive experience, preferably in Business Development.
- Demonstrable track record of devising sales-enhancing strategies.
- Unmatched supervision, research, and troubleshooting skills.
- Exceptional consulting and quality assurance abilities.
- Ability to tackle the demands of ever-evolving technological implements with ease.
- POS & E-commerce Platforms and Solutions.
- Payment Gateway Solutions and System (Upgrade and Migration).
- Channel integrations and certifications (ATM, CDM, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, IVR, POS & mPOS).
- Protocols, Compliances, and Standards (e.g., PCIDSS, ISO8583, NDC 91x, VBV, XFS, etc.).
- Knowledge of various types of payment cards, including VISA, MasterCard, & American Express (AMEX).
