VCUarts Qatar is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead the VCUarts Qatar Gallery as Head of Gallery. This temporary 18-month term faculty appointment will provide leadership and vision for the Gallery, teaching or co-teaching undergraduate or graduate-level courses, and engaging in creative practice and/or scholarly research.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a curatorial vision to guide an ambitious exhibition and speaker program.
• Curate exhibitions and public programs that showcase work from emerging and established artists and designers.
• Teach or co-teach undergraduate or graduate-level courses in art, design, and art history.
• Engage in creative practice and/or scholarly research that speaks to their own areas of interest.

Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience in all aspects of curation, exhibition design, and associated activities.
• Curatorial experience working across disciplines in art, design, and art history.
• Strong leadership and vision for the VCUarts Qatar Gallery.
