Job Overview

The Commissioning Engineer Leader will oversee the commissioning of HVAC systems in LNG and Oil & Gas facilities. This role requires strong leadership skills, experience with commissioning planning and execution, and a broad knowledge of HVAC control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate personal safety leadership and maintain high safety standards through auditing and setting examples.
  2. Perform as a safety leader by actively participating in Toolbox Talks, Task Instructions, and SHES-related walkdowns.
  3. Ensure contractors conduct works safely and in accordance with permits to work and safety practices.
  4. Assist contractors with permit preparation and job safety analysis submissions.
  5. Oversee system completion activities, including testing, walkdowns, documentation, and reporting.
  6. Provide technical guidance on procedures, method statements, work packs, and schedules.
  7. Review planning deliverables to ensure activities are adequately planned, resourced, and scheduled.
  8. Foster conflict resolution and problem-solving while providing clear guidance and direction.
  9. Indirectly supervise commissioning professionals to lead safe execution of pre-commissioning and commissioning scope of work.
  10. Report generation and validating/testing results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years' experience as a LEAD HVAC Commissioning Engineer, including commissioning planning and execution for LNG or Oil & Gas facilities.
  • Demonstrable experience with HVAC control systems, airflow, refrigeration, and chilled water commissioning is required.
  • Experience with interfacing systems and controls, including Fire and Gas Systems.
  • Strong leadership skills, guiding contractor teams.
  • Fluent in written and oral English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
  • Familiarity with completions database software (e.g., SCDB, WinPCS, ICAPS).
