Job SummaryAs a Dimensional Controller, you will be responsible for executing dimensional control surveys of structural assemblies and pipeline spools, ensuring that all mating interfaces between fabrication, marine, and others are accurately measured.
Key Responsibilities- Execute dimensional surveys and ensure that all structural assemblies and piping spools meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
- Take dimensions of structures after fit and before release, providing feedback to the immediate supervisor.
- Ensure the Dimensional Control ITP is strictly followed at each stage, including updates to the plan to incorporate any process changes to the scope of planned survey work.
- Assist in performing pre-weld/post-weld surveys as specified in the dimension control plan and as required by governing specifications.
- Prepare and provide input for dimensional survey reports.
- Liaise with the Client Discipline Representative on all matters affecting dimensional control.
- Maintain accurate records of all dimensional inspections and control activities.
- Keep a log of all dimensional control survey requests and results.
- Ensure all dimensional survey equipment are calibrated and valid.
- Ensure work area preparation and housekeeping are completed safely and diligently.
- Conduct risk assessments within areas of operation and work closely with supervision to ensure that operations activities are completed safely and diligently.
- Prioritize the wellbeing of oneself and colleagues while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- ITI or Trade Apprenticeship/Higher Secondary Education
- Dimensional control survey certification
- Proficient in AutoCAD software/Drafting
- Minimum 3 years of experience in surveying structural assemblies and piping spools
- Hands-on experience in using relevant measuring and surveying tools such as SOKKIA, Leica, Topcon, etc.
- Experience and knowledge of structural drawing and piping ISO drawing reading
