Job Responsibilities

The Commis Chef is responsible for assisting the head chef in the preparation and service of all sections in the Kitchen. This includes building an effective and motivated team, delivering consistent operational standards, and elevating guest care quality.

  • This role requires the ability to understand and practice basic food hygiene as defined within the company guidelines.
  • You will be responsible for communicating information to the relevant team members on stock levels, best working practices, and quality control.
  • Ensuring that all food preparation and food levels are consistent with quality and quantity standards is also essential.
  • This role involves controlling storage of food items, minimizing spoilage and wastage, and exercising portion control to minimize cost impact on the business.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Commis Chef in a 3-star or above category hotel.
  • A degree in Culinary Arts is highly advantageous.
  • Advanced English language skills are required.
