Lead System Architect

As a Lead System Architect at lxbfYeaa, you will play a key role in maintaining a strong relation with QatarEnergy Trading (QET) and analysing business processes/requirements.

About the Job

The primary purpose of this job is to identify/define solutions and maintain them along their lifecycle.

  • You will work closely with QET to provide expert support on related solutions and required technical service on related applications, in coordination with the other ICT entities.
  • The portfolio of QET systems (non SAP) will be managed by the selected candidate: roadmap/lifecycle, contracts, costs, services, security.
  • This role involves leading small to medium size projects to implement new or transform existing QET solutions.
Your Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 9 years of progressive and directly related experience with Trading solutions.
  • International certifications in Project Management (PMP or equivalent) and IT Service Management (ITIL or equivalent) are recommended.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Oil& Gas sector and deep knowledge of Trading business, related organization, processes and technologies solutions (C/E-TRM, Fleet Management, Trading Platform, Trading Market Analytics, etc.)
  • Effective participation in various high value projects for Trading solutions implementation
  • Strong experience in establishing and managing related contracts and agreements.
  • Familiarity with IT standards & best practices, architecture, integration, methods
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Ability to influence and work closely with stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • High proficiency with workplace applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), project management and collaboration tools (e.g. MS Project, Azure DevOps / Confluence Jira, Miro/Mural etc).
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate concepts as appropriate to management, customers, contractors and staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and communicate with a multi-cultural/national workforce.
