Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to join our team at lxbfYeaa in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction of various projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the execution of construction activities at the project site.
  • Review detailed design drawings, method statements, and material requisitions.
  • Coordinate the mobilization of contractors on site.
  • Supervise and approve construction activities, ensuring compliance with contractual specifications.
  • Handle all aspects of Electrical/Instrument Construction activities, including site investigations and surveys.
  • Manage installation of Earthing and Lightning Protection works, as well as Lighting and Small Power works.
  • Coordinate finalizing Cable entries, cable routes, and cable diversions.
  • Manage Instrument Control & Power Cable laying and termination works.
  • Supervise Fiber Optic cable installation and splicing works.
  • Supervise installation of Fire Alarm Control Panels, Repeater Panels, and Mimic Panels.
  • Supervise installation of Control junction boxes and Panels.
  • Good knowledge in reading and understanding Equipment Layout drawings.
  • Overall coordination with Mechanical works, HVAC works, Fire alarm & Loss prevention system works, Building Services works, etc.
  • Cable termination and Loop checking.
  • Witness SAT pre-commissioning activities for equipment.
  • Maintain a daily record of progress, noting special comments and reporting work anomalies or contractual deviations.
  • Sign work permits on behalf of the client and ensure contractor's compliance with work permits.
  • Participate in development of as-built drawings/documentation.
  • Prepare Punch list for finished work prior to handover to the client by the contractor.
  • Work closely with other client Construction Supervisors (Mech / Arch).
  • Report to the client Senior Construction Supervisor on main issues, events at site, progress reporting, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Accountable for supervising contractor's work that is in progress, inspecting work, reporting problems, and preventing accidents occurring as a result of negligence, by enforcing client safety standards on the work site.
  • Liaise and report with the QC Inspector on quality-related matters.
  • Liaise with the HSE Supervisor on safety-related matters.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 to 15 years overall E&I experience in Construction of offshore topside structures/modules/living quarters for oil and gas industries.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to interface and communicate with internal and external departments, agencies, contractors, and vendors.
