This is a challenging opportunity for a highly skilled Process Simulation and Modeling professional to join our team at MatchaTalent. Key Responsibilities
  • Process Simulation and Optimization: Streamline process simulation and optimization objectives with corporate goals and develop program best practices monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enhance Process Simulation and modeling performance.
  • Process Modeling and Simulation: Lead and develop Process Simulation models for refineries and NGL fractionations using dynamic or steady-state simulation software applications.
  • Process Analysis and Optimization: Perform process simulations and modeling using specialized software tools to analyze refinery processes and optimize their performance.
  • Thermodynamic Modeling: Develop and maintain thermodynamic models and mathematical equations accurately representing the behavior of various refinery processes.
  • Model Verification and Validation: Verify simulation model accuracy by comparing results with actual plant data and conducting sensitivity analyses.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvements and propose modifications or optimizations to increase efficiency, reduce costs, or meet regulatory requirements.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies for performance improvement to increase yields and operational efficiency.
  • Debottlenecking and Optimization: Analyze chronic problems and debottleneck complex models to enhance process operations and economic benefits.
  • Safety Assessments: Conduct safety assessments to evaluate the impact of potential process changes or plant modifications.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead technical sessions such as design reviews, model reviews, and commissioning.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise to operating facilities, Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams through consulting awareness sessions and participation in technical exchanges and conferences.
  • Process Simulation Technologies: Conduct benchmarks, business case studies, and pilot evaluations of process simulation technologies.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate simulation results, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with other engineers, researchers, and vendors to contribute to the development of new simulation software tools, methodologies, and techniques.
Requirements
  • Relocation: This role requires the candidate to permanently relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience with Process Simulation and Modeling technologies.
  • Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in process engineering and flowsheet-based processes simulation.
  • Refinery Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of refinery facilities, feedstock/product movements, margins, giveaways, process yields, and mass and energy balances.
  • International Standards: Familiarity with international standards and specifications for advanced process control and process modeling.
  • Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of advanced process solutions.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills to effectively manage technical discussions and guide technical teams.
