Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular inspections of the shipbuilding production of the vessel(s) under construction at the shipyard, focusing on hull protection matters such as steel surface preparation, coatings applications, film thickness gauging, and the installation of corrosion-reducing appliances like ICCP and zinc anodes, as assigned by the Site Lead.
• Ensure that the shipbuilder's efforts meet the expectations of the shareholders and comply with the Shipbuilding Contract Agreement, specifications, approved plans, and memorandums of agreement.
• Attend all scheduled inspections, tests, demonstrations, and trials in accordance with the shipbuilder's published schedule and as assigned in the scope of work.
• Coordinate inspections with other Inspectors as required.
• Ensure that all shareholder SHES policies are fully implemented and adhered to, and bring any areas of concern to the immediate attention of the Safety Coordinator and the Site Team Manager.
• Coordinate work to bring each vessel into service for timely delivery.
