About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer - Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at Tanqeeb. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our static equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Incident Prevention and Response: Establish and maintain a strong safety culture to prevent incidents and ensure compliance with HSE legislation, company standards, and procedures.
  2. Maintenance Coordination: Assist in coordinating and overseeing the development, implementation, and execution of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) activities.
  3. Technical Support: Provide first-level specialist technical advice and guidance to offshore personnel on the maintenance of static equipment, root cause analysis, and investigations.
  4. Administrative Support: Assist in providing technical and administrative support to site base operations, including preparation of scopes of work, organization of vendors, and supply of direct support to site requests.
  5. Campaign and Shutdown Support: Assist in providing technical and administrative support to campaign and shutdown teams to ensure the overall readiness and execution of scopes in line with campaign shutdown gate criteria process.
  6. Repair Management: Assist in managing the repair process for critical equipment, including visits to local vendor workshops and warehouses.
  7. Backlog Management: Assist in proactive management of all safety and business critical backlog.
  8. Maintenance Strategy: Assist in monitoring the efficiency of the maintenance strategies for the maintenance, inspection, and operation of plant/equipment and feedback to Maintenance Engineering.
  9. Vendor Audits: Participate in vendor/contractual audits as appropriate.
  10. Class 2 Modifications: Assist in execution of class 2 modifications (vendor-based modifications).
  11. Static Equipment Management: Assist with Maintenance Senior Static Engineer to manage repairs, overhauls, and maintenance of all major static equipment.
  12. Certificate Management: Ensure all certificates on installed static equipment and all certificates on spare parts scheduled to be used offshore are recorded in I-View/Manasa.
  13. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and reduce operating costs of all static activities.
  14. Best Practices: Share and adopt best practices across the company, support and identify opportunities to enhance consistency and alignment between assets.
  15. Crisis Response: Must be willing to participate in Crisis Response Training and to assist during Emergency Response Situations if required.
About the Team

Our team is based in Doha, Qatar, and we are a permanent staff position on a residential basis (5-day working week). We are a Joint Venture Operating Company on the Al Shaheen oil and gas field, one of the largest offshore oil and gas fields in the world.

Requirements
  1. Degree or industry-recognized technical qualifications supported by industry experience (offshore and onshore oil and gas facilities).
  2. Minimum of 1 year's experience working in the oil and gas industry in a similar role.
  3. Understanding and application of industry process safety guidelines and procedures.
  4. Knowledge of mechanical equipment discipline maintenance requirements.
  5. Versatile, resilient, and able to interact effectively with different departments and peers on a daily basis.
  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  7. Fluent in English (listening, writing, and speaking) and its technical vocabulary.
  8. Ability and willingness to learn and drive to become competent and able to work unsupervised as a Maintenance Coordinator.
