Position Overview: We are seeking skilled and passionate Environmental Sustainability Specialists to join our team. The successful candidates will contribute to the development of environmental strategies and policies that promote sustainability and compliance with environmental regulations. In this role, you will be working with Transportation Systems Planners and Environmental Engineers to develop strategies and policies for the transportation systems that support sustainable urban growth, quality of life, health of people, and the environment. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, technical expertise, and a passion for sustainable transport solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct environmental impact assessments and feasibility studies to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for sustainable transportation systems.
  2. Develop and implement long-term strategic environmental management plans and policies that promote sustainability and compliance with environmental regulations.
  3. Utilize GIS and other analytical tools to model environmental processes and impacts, and stay updated on the latest environmental regulations, technologies, and best practices.
  4. Collaborate with government agencies, stakeholders, and community groups to gather input and ensure project alignment, and prepare and present detailed reports, proposals, and presentations to clients, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
  5. Develop and implement strategies for sustainable transportation systems that support urban growth, quality of life, health of people, and the environment.

Skills Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  2. 10+ years of experience in environmental engineering, science, or planning, with experience in working with engineering consultants or government agencies.
  3. Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements, and good knowledge with GIS software and other environmental modeling tools.
  4. Middle East or GCC experience, preferred, and Arabic speaker, preferred.
  5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and commitment to sustainability and innovative transport solutions.
