At Taameer Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed LV (Low Voltage) and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) electrical design drawings, ensuring compliance with local regulations and authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing LV electrical design drawings, including power, lighting, schematic diagrams, and other essential electrical designs.
  • Developing ELV systems, including fire alarm, telecom, access control, and other building systems.
  • Ensuring designs comply with local authority requirements for design submission, including KAHRAMAA, QCDD, MOI, Telecom, etc.
  • Collaborating with other engineers and architects to integrate electrical systems with other trades and disciplines.
  • Utilizing engineering design software (AutoCAD, DIALUX) for producing high-quality designs and calculations.
  • Assisting with project coordination and collaboration, providing technical support throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Ensuring all designs are up-to-date, accurate, and meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Preparing design documentation, including reports and calculations, for client and authority submission.

Requirements

Key Requirements:

  • 7 to 12 years of design experience in a consultancy office is required.
  • Strong experience in preparing LV electrical design drawings, including power, lighting, schematic diagrams, etc.
  • Experience with ELV design systems, such as fire alarm, telecom, access control, and other building systems.
  • Familiarity with authority requirements for design submission, including KAHRAMAA, QCDD, MOI, Telecom.
  • Proficiency in using engineering design software such as AutoCAD, DIALUX, or similar tools.
  • UPDA and QCDD certification are an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, design principles, and relevant local codes and standards.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring integration with other trades.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to clients and team members.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate designs.
