Job Description

Airswift is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a residential contract in Qatar.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and at least 15 years of relevant post-graduate experience, including 10 years in the Oil & Gas industry.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide technical support to the operations team for electrical engineering aspects of assigned projects.
  2. Verify and review technical designs, documents, and bids in accordance with approved standards.
  3. Ensure compliance with operations, maintenance, asset, and pipeline integrity, and HSE requirements.
  4. Evaluate scope preparation completeness review and hands-on experience in HV/LV substations, switchgears, motors, CP systems, small power and lighting, earthing, VSDS, other motors, batteries, and protection relays.
  5. Plan and coordinate between operations, maintenance, and asset integrity teams.
  6. IDentify potential hazards during engineering activities (as applicable) such as document reviews, design safety reviews, workshops, SAFOP, HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP, QRA, FERA, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • At least 15 years of relevant post-graduate experience, including 10 years in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Experience in operations and maintenance is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with international standards related to electrical engineering and design software such as ETAP, CYME Model, etc.
  • Exposure to international consulting companies, EPIC contractors, and projects involving pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and hand-over activities is an added advantage.
  • Sound fundamentals in electrical engineering discipline area and excellent technical skills.
  • Good communication, presentation skills, and fluency in English language.
