About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Research Assistant Professor to join our team as a Faculty Member in Cell and Developmental Biology. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research, teaching, and mentoring undergraduate students.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge and education in cell and developmental biology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cell and developmental biology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct original research in cell and developmental biology, with a focus on understanding the mechanisms underlying cellular processes.
  • Develop and teach undergraduate courses in cell and developmental biology, including lectures, labs, and discussion sections.
  • Supervise and mentor undergraduate students in research projects, including data collection, analysis, and presentation.
  • Grade assignments and exams, provide feedback to students, and maintain accurate records of student grades and attendance.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, committee work, and other professional activities.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Cell and Developmental Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with research and teaching, preferably in an academic setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
