At lxbfYeaa, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Venture Control Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing expert financial guidance and advice on division-specific issues.

Job Purpose:

  • You will analyze and present financial data both internally and externally, demonstrating a deep understanding of accounting principles and standards.

  • Develop and implement effective financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

  • Provide technical support and training to other team members on financial matters.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of financial transactions and accounts.

Key Job Accountabilities - I:

  • You will perform month-end reconciliations, quarterly price adjustments, and coordinate monthly account reconciliations.

  • Analyze and review allocated and direct operating costs for reasonableness and accuracy.

  • Compile cash forecasting for technical SAP companies by coordinating input from other areas of finance.

  • Prepare and calculate tax, addressing queries raised by Shareholder representatives.

  • Contribute to the preparation of annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS reporting standards.

Key Job Accountabilities - II:

  • Produce statistical reports, including PPI reports, QCB Reports, Sales reports, and ad-hoc reports as required.

  • Upload production volume data in BPC and ensure integrity of inputs into planning systems.

  • Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and long-term business plans (WP&B).

  • Coordinate master data requests, ensuring consistent updates of reporting hierarchies.

  • Ensure a strong understanding of compliance frameworks, internal controls, and Table of Financial Authority (TOFA) application.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Accounting, Finance, Economic or Commercial discipline; or

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline and an internationally recognized professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CA, CFA, CIMA, CMA, CPA).

Knowledge and/or Experience - I:

  • 5 years' experience in the oil and gas industry.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting systems.

  • Strong financial knowledge in compilation and analysis.

  • Strong commercial knowledge related to the oil and gas industry.

Technical and Business Skills - I:

  • Proficient in written and spoken English.

  • Computer literacy, including working knowledge of business software programs like EC, SAP, and BPC.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external clients.

  • Specialized financial knowledge in consolidation, compilation, and analysis.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
