Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our team at Strategic Aerospace Services WLL. As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for managing contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, and resolving any disputes that may arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Management
    • Administer and interpret contracts to ensure compliance with contractual terms.
    • Manage contract ambiguities and ensure that project scope is clearly defined.
    • Monitor project activities to ensure compliance with contractual terms.
  • Claims Preparation and Management
    • Identify and prepare claims related to delays, changes, or other contractual issues.
    • Prepare and submit claims in accordance with contractual terms.
    • Lead the process of resolving claims or disputes that arise.
  • Contractual Communication
    • Support the Project Manager/Director with contractual matters.
    • Prepare and manage contractual correspondence with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Subcontractor Coordination
    • Ensure subcontractors' agreements are aligned with the main contract.
    • Assist the Project Manager and project team with contractual matters related to subcontractors.
    • Support the Project Manager in resolving contract-related issues or disputes with subcontractors.
  • Risk Management and Compliance
    • Identify potential risks related to contract performance, scope ambiguities, and technical deliverables.
    • Ensure compliance with FIDIC conditions and other relevant contractual frameworks.
  • Technical Coordination and Integration
    • Work closely with technical teams to understand requirements and implications of complex tasks.
    • Ensure technical deliverables are clearly defined within the contract scope.
  • Financial Management and Reporting
    • Monitor contract budgets, expenditures, and financial obligations.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on contract performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Variation Management
    • Evaluate and prepare variations due to scope changes, design modifications, or unforeseen circumstances.
    • Negotiate and finalize terms of variations.
    • Implement and monitor changes to ensure compliance with updated contract terms.
  • Closure and Final Accounts
    • Oversee the closure of contracts, ensuring all deliverables are met and final accounts are settled.
    • Prepare for contract extensions, renewals, or close-outs as required.

Requirements

  • Required Qualifications
    • Education
      • Bachelor's degree in Law, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
    • Experience
      • 7-10 years of experience in contract management, with a strong background in EPC contracts, particularly under FIDIC conditions.
      • Proven experience in preparing and managing claims in large, complex projects.
      • Experience managing contracts in multidisciplinary projects involving OT and ICT integration, network design, and large-scale construction.
    • Skills
      • Strong knowledge of FIDIC contract frameworks and their application in EPC projects.
      • Expertise in claims preparation and management, including dispute resolution.
      • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
      • High-level understanding of technical aspects related to smart city projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with smart city or digital transformation projects, particularly in the context of large-scale real estate developments.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
