About the Role

Brunel International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pipeline Welding Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our pipeline and subsea welding operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement welding integrity strategies to ensure compliance with contract requirements, codes, and standards.
  2. Provide guidance and support to contractors to promote compliance and ensure technical alignment.
  3. Plan and schedule materials, welding, and package engineering deliverables to enable efficient project execution.
  4. Supervise and ensure that contractors' functional safety of onshore facilities (offshore scope) engineering and pipeline materials and welding comply with contract requirements.
  5. Participate in key design workshops and ensure that pipeline materials and welding package functional safety design recommendations are correctly implemented.
  6. Supervise the engineering interface between onshore facilities (offshore scope), pipeline engineering, and other teams.
  7. Support the materials and pipeline-related purchase orders with contractors and vendors.
  8. Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) regarding pipeline materials and welding disciplines.
  9. Ensure compliance with management of change procedures for changes in contractor's design or deviations from company directives.

Requirements

  1. Minimum bachelor's engineering degree/diploma in related fields.
  2. 10+ years of relevant experience as materials/welding engineering lead in a major project environment within the oil and gas industry.
  3. Experience working on subsea and onshore pipeline systems.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork.
  5. A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
  6. Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.
  7. Good knowledge of materials, welding engineering, subsea, onshore pipeline, and mechanical equipment.
