Shaft Technician Mining Surveyor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Shaft Technician Mining Surveyor to join our team at Energy Jobline. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing in-shaft surveying services to support our mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and Analyze Data: Collect high-resolution point cloud data of the excavation and monitor the excavation depth and diameter to ensure accurate measurements.
• Guidance System Maintenance: Maintain the guidance system where applicable to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Shaft Alignment Monitoring: Monitor the shaft alignment (plumb, rotation, etc.) to ensure that it meets the required standards.
• Setting Out and Monitoring: Set out probe holes and drill patterns for blasting purposes where applicable, and monitor the shaft alignment and convergence within the completed shaft portion.
• Surveying and Inspection: Carry out surveys of accident sites if required, and conduct as-built surveys of the lining (visual inspection and scans) to ensure that the shaft is safe and compliant with regulations.

Requirements:

• Strong Technical Skills: Proven experience in in-shaft surveying and a strong understanding of surveying principles and techniques.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure that surveying services are delivered to the required standard.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
