About the Role

  • You will be responsible for managing our digital diplomacy efforts, including social media channels, and developing effective communication products to engage with various audiences.
Main Responsibilities
Digital Diplomacy
  • Develop and implement a follower growth and audience strategy for Embassy social media channels.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to publish timely and innovative content, aligning with our communications strategy.
Media Monitoring and Reporting
  • Produce daily press analysis and reports on local and regional events and developments in the media landscape.
  • Maintain and update information on Embassy website/social media platforms.
Product Development
  • Design and develop communications products, including newsletters, bulletins, videos, brochures, infographics etc.
Campaign Planning and Execution
  • Support the delivery of impactful public diplomacy campaigns to achieve UK Government objectives in Qatar.
  • Advise on priority campaigns to ensure efficient use of our public platform.
Events and Visits
  • Lead on developing and implementing communications plans for inward and outward visits and major events.
