Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety, preferably with experience in major projects in Qatar. He/She should be able to lead the scaffolding program and ensure compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  1. Audit and monitor the EPC Contractor's scaffolding program.
  2. Ensure inspection records and trained/qualified scaffolder's records are kept on file.
  3. Monitor the skills development of Contractor/Sub-contractor scaffolding/rigging personnel.
  4. Establish strong SHE&S networks across all contracting levels of the project.
  5. Support the integration of BBS into the overall project SHE&S effort.
  6. Participate and/or lead incident investigations as required.
Candidate Specifications – Minimum RequirementsTechnical and Business Skills
  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with basic English proficiency.
  2. Ability to review and comment on technical documents.
  3. Must be able to review scaffold structures with P.E. to work issues for safe scaffolding.
Behavioural Skills
  1. Good interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
  1. Associates degree in Engineering or Science.
Knowledge And/or Experience
  1. Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in project execution.
  2. Experience in major Construction Projects (including brown-field work) with total capital expenditure > USD$1B.
  3. Recent experience (last 5 years) on QatarEnergy LNG (Qatargas) Projects and working in Ras Laffan Industrial City.
