Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cable Jointer Specialist to join our team at GETP Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and hands-on experience with high voltage cables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Expertise: The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of cable jointing techniques and be able to work from manufacturers' specifications and drawings with minimal supervision.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years of hands-on experience as a Cable Jointer (up to 33KV cables) applicable to refinery or crude/NGL production stations, with at least one year of experience in an offshore environment.
  • Certifications: The candidate must hold a High Voltage work certificate approved by Kahramaa, Qatar, or equivalent competent authority subject to Qatar Energy approval.
  • Continuous Improvement: The successful candidate will have performed jointing activities for at least six continuous months and have experience with various jointing techniques, including Raychem, Elastimold, and other joints and terminations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Skills: Strong technical skills, ability to work independently, and excellent problem-solving skills.
