About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Principal Geophysicist to join our team at QatarEnergy.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in the planning, execution, and supervision of geophysical data acquisition, processing, and interpretation for offshore oil field development.

Responsibilities:

  1. Geophysical Data Management: Manage and oversee the collection, analysis, and evaluation of geophysical data for reservoir studies.
  2. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective geophysical strategies.
  3. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior staff members.
  4. Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality data acquisition, processing, and interpretation through rigorous quality assurance processes.

Requirements:

  • Education: Advanced degree in Geophysics or related field desired.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in geophysical data acquisition, processing, and interpretation, with at least 5 years' experience in team leadership roles.
