About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Lecturer to join our academic faculty at Oryx Uni. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in various modules, as well as contributing to the development of our academic programs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well in a team. They will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, assessing student performance, and providing feedback to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Teach and assess students in various modules, including lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions.
  2. Develop and deliver high-quality teaching materials, including lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations.
  3. Contribute to the development of our academic programs, including curriculum design and implementation.
  4. Provide academic guidance and support to students, including mentoring and coaching.
  5. Participate in departmental and faculty meetings, and contribute to the development of academic policies and procedures.
  6. Engage in ongoing professional development, including attending conferences, workshops, and training sessions.

Requirements:

  1. A postgraduate degree (preferably a PhD or in the process of completing a PhD, or a master's degree with relevant industry experience).
  2. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  3. Ambition and motivation in the pursuit of academic research and excellence.
  4. The ability to inspire the best potential in every student.
  5. Expertise in the application and delivery of appropriate teaching techniques.
  6. The ability to work well independently and collaboratively with colleagues.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Strong organisational and time management skills.
  9. Keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  10. A self-motivated, enthusiastic, and innovative mindset.
  11. Experience and/or qualifications in teaching in a tertiary education environment.
  12. The ability to work well in a team.

Annual Salary Package: Between GBP 65,000 – 90,000 which includes Accommodation Allowance and Transportation Allowance.
