Commissioning Lead (EPC)

Airswift, a leading international workforce solutions provider, is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Lead to join our team in Qatar. As a Commissioning Lead, you will play a critical role in overseeing the commissioning process of our client's EPC project.

Job Purpose

The Commissioning Lead will be responsible for:

  1. Oversight and monitoring of contractor's schedule, schedule performance, progress measurement, and reporting.
  2. Developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by extracting information from contractor's reports and deliverables to aid decision-making.
Responsibilities

The Commissioning Lead will be responsible for:

  1. Providing and maintaining pre-commissioning and commissioning schedules.
  2. Ensuring that every update in commissioning sequence is properly captured and reflected in commissioning schedules.
  3. Ensuring proper integration of pre-commissioning and commissioning schedules to EPC1 Level 3 Schedule.
  4. Highlighting and communicating any changes in pre-commissioning and commissioning schedules that impact the overall EPC1 Level 3 Schedule to line managers, other Project EPC1 Lead Planners, and other concerned parties.
  5. Monitoring closely the progress of construction and readiness for pre-commissioning.
  6. Highlighting any delays in construction that may impact pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  7. Overseeing contractor's pre-commissioning and commissioning schedules, KPIs, interfaces, and weekly and monthly reporting, and advising on potential schedule issues and providing guidance on corrective actions and measures to mitigate any adverse trends.
  8. Regular progress monitoring by liaising with site commissioning management teams and contractors' teams in all commissioning areas.
  9. Developing KPIs by using construction data for efficient tracking of all site construction activities.
  10. Analyzing schedule and progress trends reported by EPC Contractors.
  11. Responding to ad-hoc analysis requests related to schedule, progress, KPIs, and reports.
  12. Facilitating periodic meetings with contractors to review schedules and progress and report to EPC-1 Head of Planning and Data Analysis Reporting Specialist.
  13. Reviewing contractor's construction progress, productivity, manpower, quantities on a weekly basis and producing KPIs for PMT review.
  14. Adhering to Company project procedures and periodically reviewing and improving.
  15. Liaising regularly with the engineering and procurement team to monitor alignment with critical deliverables and expediting reports and commissioning schedules.
  16. Reviewing EPC Contractor's progress reports; verifying and endorsing claimed progress.
  17. Reviewing and endorsing schedule and progress baselines and forecasts prepared by EPC Contractor.
  18. Reviewing EPC Contractor's project control procedures (home office and field control procedures) to ensure that Company's requirements are being met.
