Job Opening: Electrical Engineering Area Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Area Manager to oversee Electrical Engineering activities in Major Project Onshore Project-Utilities. The successful candidate will ensure all technical requirements such as project specifications, data sheets, etc. are in full compliance with project requirements, standardized processes, and are delivered to the highest technical quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure Electrical Engineering activities are executed in compliance with client Operations, Policies, Standards of Business Conduct, and client Project Management System (QGPMS).
  2. Design and Planning: Lead electrical engineering design and planning activities and ensure EPC contractor develops detailed design in accordance with local regulatory requirements, industry standards, project specifications, and any approved variations.
  3. Issue Resolution: Resolve electrical discipline issues to ensure engineering design addresses Major Project's expectations and objectives.
  4. Communication: Communicate and elevate issues before they escalate to Project Management when necessary.
Requirements:

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience: 20 years' experience of Electrical Engineering, preferably in a major LNG Project.

Skills: Broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, onshore LNG facilities and utility systems design, construction, and operations. Requires demonstrated broad Electrical equipment and systems experience (HV/MV/LV electrical systems design, transformers, switchgear, power management systems, electrical system controls for reactive and active power sharing, power distribution control, large Motors, 40MW+) and familiarity with relevant manufacturing processes and relevant industry codes.

Cultural Competence: Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
