{"Job Title": "Neurophysiology Specialist", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a highly skilled Neurophysiology Specialist to join our team at Power International Holding. As a Neurophysiology Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive diagnostic testing, interpretation, and reporting in the field of Neurophysiology. You will work independently, within clearly defined protocols and evidence-based practices, as a multi-disciplinary team member. Your expertise will support clinical decision-making by providing routine, non-routine, and specialized investigations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of suspected or known Neurological Conditions.Responsibilities:
1. Provides a highly complex, clinical neurodiagnostic service to patients of all ages from a range of specialities suffering from a wide variety of medical disorders including those, which may be neurological and/or psychiatric in nature.
2. Performs and provides technical reports on Electroencephalographic (EEG) investigations employing current standard techniques without supervision and using specialist techniques, i.e., Sleep deprived EEG's; EEG's performed with sedation, multi-sleep latency testing and ambulatory EEG's.
3. Participates in diagnosis-related clinics and takes an active role in patient management as required.
4. Manages own time and caseload with an awareness of limitation of the Neurophysiology service and a knowledge of specialist facilities and appropriate referral.
5. Adheres to all departmental and facility-wide policies, procedures, risk assessments, and processes in the interests of maintaining a safe and effective work environment and promoting the highest quality patient care experience.
Requirements:
* Accurate and precise conduction of a variety of Neurodiagnostic tests in children and adults.
* Ability to report and discuss findings with referring physicians to aid in accurate and timely diagnosis/treatment.
* Patient counselling.
* Equipment Calibration.
* Ability to explain and calm anxious or nervous patients.
* Evidence of appropriate continued professional development.
* Proficiency in the administration of standardized outcome measure testing applicable to area of work.
* Expertise in the application of evidence-based practice.
* Understanding of robust documentation practices and the use of an EMR.
* Previous experience working in a multi-disciplinary care team.
* Ability to work without supervision in the diagnostic and rehabilitation areas.
Overseas candidates:
* Two years (2) recent experience in at least one of the Neurodiagnostic specializations.
For Qatari Nationals, Qatar Universities graduates, offspring of Qatari women or offspring of residents, they are required to complete a training period of one year under supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner (Refer to DHP Circular No.24/2020).
