About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Claims Specialist to join our team at The Highfield Company. As a leading specialist recruitment consultancy, we focus on the international construction and engineering industry sectors.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of successful high-value claims and time extensions experience in the Middle East. They will be responsible for leading the preparation, coordination, issue, and administration of large value claims and time extensions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contract Analysis: Analyze contractual terms and conditions to identify potential claims and time extensions.
  2. Claim Preparation: Prepare and coordinate large value claims and time extensions, including analysis of tender pricing, rates, and productivity levels.
  3. Record Inspection: Inspect and analyze records and contractual notices to identify potential claims and time extensions.
  4. Productivity Analysis: Analyze actual time spent, costs incurred, and actual productivity achieved to support claims and time extensions.
  5. Cause and Effect Analysis: Prepare a detailed cause and effect analysis to support claims and time extensions.
  6. Presentation and Negotiation: Present and negotiate claims and time extensions with clients and stakeholders.
  7. Contractual Routes: Identify contractual routes for the recovery of costs.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of successful high-value claims and time extensions experience in the Middle East.
  2. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant professional qualifications.
  3. Project Experience: Fifteen years project experience, of which five years must be in contract administration for major build projects/contracts.
  4. Software Skills: Fully conversant in Primavera P3 and its use in the preparation of as-built and cause and effect programs.
  5. Claim Development: Proven ability in the successful development and negotiation of complex contractual claim submissions on mega international projects.
  6. Computer Skills: Strong computer skills including effective development and operation of analytical spreadsheets.
