Procurement Manager

To oversee the execution of procurement locally and internationally, the Procurement Supervisor will supervise subordinates, liaise with vendors, internal customers, and other stakeholders by analyzing and resolving procurement challenges and/or bottlenecks within micro/Macro environments during the P2P process. The role ensures that organizational inputs are acquired in line with Company's Policies and Procedure, as per required specifications in the most cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize purchasing processes and achieve cost savings.
- Supplier Management: Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and service. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance. Conduct training sessions for team members on procurement processes, policies, and best practices.
- Procurement Processes: Oversee the creation, approval, and processing of purchase orders to ensure compliance with organizational policies. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely procurement of goods and services.
- Budget Management: Manage procurement budgets, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines and identifying opportunities for cost savings. Prepare and present procurement reports to management, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Identify and assess risks related to procurement activities, implementing strategies to mitigate them.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate procurement processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Leverage procurement software and tools to streamline processes and improve data management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments (e.g., finance, operations, production) to understand their procurement needs and align strategies. Assist in procurement-related projects and initiatives, providing expertise and support as needed.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor KPIs for procurement activities, evaluating team performance and supplier effectiveness. Gather feedback from stakeholders and suppliers to assess satisfaction and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Material Management
- 10 years of relevant experience in procurement function for similar organizations
- Knowledgeable on Oracle and other IT systems installed for tracking Material acquisition requests
