At lxbfYeaa, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering quality assurance and have excellent knowledge of international design codes and material standards.

Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Expert will be responsible for ensuring the quality of all project engineering and procurement activities, including project quality management system and supplier compliance. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with vendors, package managers, clients, and internal stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Liaise with engineering groups, PMT, procurement, vendor inspection, and customer teams to ensure customer specifications and relevant codes and standards requirements are integrated into engineering and vendor data documents.
  2. Review material specifications, datasheets, inspection and test requirements, and critically assess material requisitions, vendor offers, technical bid evaluations, and purchase requisitions/subcontracts to identify project-specific requirements.
  3. Supervise QA engineers and associates, ensuring completeness and correctness of vendor/supplier deliverables such as quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), manufacturing procedure specifications, weld procedures, heat treatment, and painting procedures against project-specific requirements.
  4. Assist the assurance manager/project in preparing vendor/supplier pre-inspection meeting readiness reviews, kick-off meetings (KOMs), pre-inspection meetings (PlMs), and assessment of vendor/supplier inspectors' performance.
  5. Administer the vendor inspection process by working closely with the vendor inspection department, supervising, and assisting vendor inspection coordinators and vendor inspectors on inspection requirements.
  6. Review and provide technical recommendations to package managers on vendor/supplier concessions or deviations, technical queries (TQs), non-conformance reports (NCRs), and any technical issues post-award and coordinate with customers for resolution and closure.
  7. Review IAP documents submission prior to submitting them to the company.
  8. Review supplier inspection reports (SIRs), inspection release notes (IRNs), and confirm the completion of inspections as per ITPs with follow-up on punch list closure upon release. Review and submit final IDR documents to the company.
  9. Administrate the overall project-specific audit schedule and non-conformance/corrective action tracking register status reporting.
  10. Manage and conduct internal project audits, vendor/supplier assessments, and surveillance audits in accordance with the approved project audit schedule.
  11. Prepare weekly/monthly quality reports to customers/internal management for their area of responsibility, including project KPIs. Take the lead on customer interface for all engineering and procurement quality assurance activities during client meetings.
  12. Participate in and conduct root cause analysis and report causal factors, root causes, corrective actions, and follow-up for closure.
  13. Provide QA/QC inputs/deliverables for proposals and estimation during the bid phase, such as preparing preliminary project quality plans, etc., and procurement engineering support by resolving client and vendor technical clarifications for critical packages like line pipe, if any.
