Job Summary

Brunel Qatar is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Topsides Engineer to lead our Offshore Facilities team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of EPCI contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure alignment of Offshore Facilities needs, objectives, and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Expertise: Provide leadership and expertise to the team, ensuring that contractor's Topsides and Sensor Tower Platform (STP) engineering and designs comply with contract requirements, including relevant codes and standards.
  • Contractor Management: Ensure contractor compliance with management of change procedures, reviewing relevant data for monthly progress reporting and developing recovery plans as required to ensure project costs, schedule, and deliverables are met.
  • Engineering Design: Manage Offshore Facilities engineering design in accordance with the project's change management program, owning the Offshore Facilities engineering schedule and critical milestones.
  • Lessons Learned: Share previous lessons learned and capture lessons learned from the current project, ensuring they are shared within the organization for future reference.
  • Contract Preparation: Coordinate preparation for the call for tenders in line with Senior Project Management approved contractual strategy, supporting the preparation, coordination, and negotiation of the Topsides & STPs EPCI contracts.
  • Design Verification: Examine contractor activities relating to Offshore Facilities, ensuring plans, procedures, objectives, and overall job requirements adhere to appropriate Offshore Facilities specifications, standards, and design verification processes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in Offshore Facilities engineering, with experience in EPCI project management and contractor management. You will also need to have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
