Required Skills and QualificationsEducation

Experience
  1. Up to 2 years (with Masters degree) or 3 years (with Bachelors degree) of relevant experience at the national or international level in providing administration and/or programme support services.
  2. Proficient in computer software packages including MS Word, Excel, and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages.
  3. Experience working with UN agencies and international organizations is an asset.
  4. Background in office space management is highly valued.
  5. Protocol matters, registration of staff, coordination with local authorities on space and other administrative matters are desirable.
  6. Coordinating shipments, customs clearance, insurance, space management, and procurement of supplies for the office is also desirable.

The United Nations adopts a portfolio approach to accommodate changing business needs and leverage linkages across interventions to achieve its strategic goals. As a result, personnel are expected to work across units, functions, teams, and projects in multidisciplinary teams to enhance and enable horizontal collaboration.

A strong analytical mind and attention to detail are required to accurately analyze and present information, thoroughly researching and documenting work to strengthen the capacity of the Secretariat and facilitate subsequent action by the supervisor.

In this role, the incumbent's own initiative is decisive in the results of work and timely finalization, requiring a proactive and solution-focused mindset to overcome challenges and achieve goals.
