Roles and responsibilities

A Driver's main responsibility is to safely transport the employees or the hotel products from location to another. They must follow traffic laws and correctly route themselves, ensuring that there is enough gas in the tank at all times for their destination. They offer courteous customer service and have a helpful, calm demeanor when interacting with passengers

Knowledgeable and regularly check and maintain the vehicle's cleanliness and functionality.

Adhere to schedules and ensure timely pickups and drop-offs.

Drive responsibly and ensure passenger's safety at all times.

Maintain logs of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption (if required).

Friendly and professional demeanor.
Transportation Services:

Airport Transfers: Pick up and drop off guests at the airport, ensuring timely and safe travel to and from the hotel.
Local Transportation: Drive guests to and from local attractions, restaurants, shopping areas, or business meetings based on their needs and preferences.
Shuttle Services: Provide shuttle services to and from designated points, such as the hotel to a nearby conference center, event venue, or popular tourist spots.
Special Requests: Handle special transportation requests such as driving guests to private events, arranging tours, or picking up/dropping off guests at specific locations.
Guest Assistance and Customer Service:

Welcome and Greet Guests: Greet guests warmly when they enter the vehicle, assist them with luggage, and make them feel comfortable.
Friendly Interaction: Maintain a polite and professional demeanor while engaging with guests, offering local information, or answering any questions they may have.
Providing Information: Share knowledge about local attractions, restaurants, or events when appropriate, helping guests feel more familiar with their surroundings.
Safety and Security:

Vehicle Safety: Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition, checking safety features like seat belts, lights, and brakes before each trip.
Safe Driving: Follow traffic laws, drive carefully, and adhere to hotel safety protocols to ensure the safety of passengers.
Guest Security: Be mindful of guest safety and comfort, offering assistance when loading and unloading luggage and ensuring all doors are securely locked during transportation.
Maintenance and Vehicle Management:

Vehicle Inspections: Regularly inspect the vehicle for cleanliness, fuel, and maintenance issues. Report any mechanical or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Vehicle Cleanliness: Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, both inside and outside, before and after each trip.
Fueling and Restocking: Monitor the vehicle's fuel levels and ensure the car is topped off when necessary. Restock water bottles or magazines as needed.

Desired candidate profile

Good Communication Skills To Interact With Others

Ability to lift luggage and assist guests with their belongings.

Follow hotel guidelines for professional conduct and appearance

What You Bring

3-5 year experience as a Hotel Driver
Familiarity with local routes, landmarks, and tourist spots
Proficiency in the primary language (English and Arabic speaker is an advantage)
Valid Qatar Truck Driving License is mandatory
Customer Service Orientation:

Polite, friendly, and approachable demeanor when interacting with guests.
Ability to engage with guests in a professional manner, offering assistance with luggage or local recommendations.
Safety-Conscious:

Adherence to safety standards, traffic laws, and hotel protocols to ensure safe transport for guests.
Ability to handle various driving conditions (e.g., rain, snow, traffic) while ensuring a smooth and safe ride.
Local Knowledge:

Familiarity with local tourist spots, restaurants, entertainment, and events to provide helpful recommendations to guests.
Ability to share insights about local culture, history, or popular destinations.
Dependability and Punctuality:

A strong sense of responsibility and reliability to ensure guests are picked up and dropped off on time.
Excellent time management skills to ensure smooth operations and avoid delays.
Physical Stamina:

Ability to handle long hours on the road, assist with luggage, and be physically active for most of the shift.
Capable of working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on guest needs.
