Job Title Data Governance Officer

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Functional Role:

To be able to take ownership on Data governance projects by communicating with different Business

departments Data Owners and Data Stewards.

Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards across the organization

Serve as a focal point between Business areas and technology to ensure that data related business

requirements considered as part of operational prioritization and planning.

To have excellent knowledge in Data Mapping with Business requirements prepare technical as well

as functional mapping.

Have experience in Analyzing the Source systems identify & document data quality issues and data

synchronization issues and provide root cause analysis.

Should have good exposure in creating data quality rules and meta data management

Guide the data design of solutions for large projects and programs; through expert knowledge translate

highlevel business requirements into data models and appropriate metadata test data and data quality

standards.

Ensure technology solutions are aligned with data architecture principles and target state.

Oversee endtoend data lifecycle management activities.

Ensure business reports and metrics derived from controlled data are consistent and representative of

the true state of the business.

Technical Competencies:

Enterprise data management data integration data security metadata management master data

management data governance data warehousing and data quality – Advanced.

Data Lineage Advanced

Business Glossary Advanced

Enterprise data architecture for both transactional and analytical platforms – Advanced.

Data Governance Tools – Advanced

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies – Advanced.

Datavisualization and selfservice BI/analytics tools – Intermediate.

Strong communication (written spoken) and presentation skills are required.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science MIS Computer Engineering or related field required (master's degree preferred)

Project Management Professional (PMP) preferable.

Preferred Experience:

7 years of data solution architecture design and development experience across both OLTP systems and data warehouses.

5 years in data governance & master data management.

3 years in reporting analytics

Prior experience in Banking/Financial Services industry is strongly preferred.
