Roles and responsibilities

tudy and understand the scope of works, drawings and system requirements

Ensure implementation of Quality and HSE requirements of the project

Organize/rearrange resources as required within his area of work in consultation with Senior Engineer/Construction Manager.

Inform material and other resource requirements for the job to Sr. Engineer/CM

Coordinate with QA/QC personnel for inspection and testing activity on day to day basis.

Plan next day's activity and initiate Request for inspection giving sufficient time.

Explore new work front in his work area to optimize the resource utilization.

Preparation of bar reinforcement schedules, inspection of critical activities

Conduct tool box talks before start of days' work and ensure strict implementation of Quality and HSE requirements in his area

Be vigilant towards all the activities taking place and give necessary guidance to subordinate staff as and when required.

Liaise with PM/CM/QA/QC personnel and clarify technical doubts

Liaise with Planning Engineer for day to day activities

Compile daily reports from the subordinates and submit to Sr Engineer/Project Engineer

Enter time sheets for all the equipment and manpower on a day basis and submit at the end of each month without delay.

Act as a trustee of the company ensuring outstanding performance in all HSE matters

Ensure implementation of Company IMS Standards requirements in its true spirit so as to ensure meeting company objectives.

Any other assignments given from time to time by the Project Manager/In charge of Project/Construction Manager/Sr.Engineer

Desired candidate profile

Site Management and Supervision
On-Site Coordination: Oversee the daily activities on the construction site to ensure that all tasks are being carried out according to the project plan, timeline, and specifications.
Team Supervision: Supervise the work of laborers, subcontractors, and other site staff, ensuring that they follow safety protocols and work efficiently.
Resource Management: Coordinate the delivery and utilization of resources such as materials, tools, machinery, and labor to ensure smooth operations on-site.
Health & Safety Management: Ensure that all safety standards and regulations are adhered to on-site, minimizing risks and ensuring a safe working environment. This includes conducting safety inspections, enforcing PPE usage, and handling any safety incidents.
Quality Control: Ensure that the work meets the required standards and specifications. Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to identify and resolve any issues before they become major problems.
. Technical Support and Problem Solving
Technical Guidance: Provide technical support to the site team, answering questions related to construction techniques, materials, and equipment. You may be involved in troubleshooting issues and offering solutions.
Interpretation of Plans and Drawings: Interpret and review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to guide the work and ensure it aligns with the project's design.
Problem Resolution: Identify any problems or delays that occur on-site and work to resolve them promptly. This could involve adjusting schedules, sourcing materials, or dealing with equipment issues.
Site Inspections and Reporting
Daily Reports: Maintain daily logs of activities on-site, documenting progress, material usage, workforce attendance, weather conditions, and any incidents or issues.
Inspection and Testing: Carry out inspections and tests on materials, work quality, and equipment to ensure they meet project specifications. This includes conducting tests such as concrete strength or soil compaction.
Documentation: Maintain and update records of work completed, inspections performed, and any deviations or changes made to the original plan. This also includes preparing and reviewing as-built drawings and other technical documentation.
