Roles and responsibilities
  • Produce pre-design, design, tender and award, procurement, construction, and completion scheduling to depict the project and contractual requirements in compliance to the planning procedures.
  • Analyze project requirements.
  • Preparation of resource and cost loaded planning schedules.
  • Produce resource histograms for manpower, material, and submittals.
  • Evaluate and analyze the progress through updated status reports in various formats based on the contract schedule to provide performance assessment and accurate forecasts.
  • Coordinate and liaise with project managers to update the detailed works program Coordinate and liaise with subcontractors and authorities in relation to planning & programming matters for the various interfaces that exist on the project.
  • Regular site visits to monitor and review progress.
  • Conduct analysis of alternatives and options in the programming of works to allow "what if" considerations where market fluctuations, implementation of changes, and or unanticipated events impact the design and construction schedule to formulate better delivery options that can be adopted.
  • Prepare "What if Analysis"
  • Review and evaluate the subcontractor's schedules & reports and recommend necessary actions to align the subcontracted items in schedule to the contract schedule.
  • Laise with all the client requirements as per contracts
  • Participate in the progress and coordination meetings to discuss the status of the project.
  • Delay Notifications, Delay Analysis & EOT Submissions
  • Produce Time and commercial claims in coordination with project team.

Project Scheduling and Planning
Develop Project Plans: Create detailed project schedules that outline tasks, timelines, milestones, and deliverables. This includes defining the sequence of work, identifying dependencies, and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs).
Resource Allocation: Determine and allocate the necessary resources (e.g., labor, equipment, materials) to ensure that the project proceeds according to schedule.
Work Breakdown Structure (WBS): Break down complex projects into manageable work packages, ensuring that each task or sub-project is clearly defined and assigned.
Critical Path Analysis: Conduct critical path analysis to identify the most important tasks and milestones that could impact the project's overall timeline. Identify potential bottlenecks and areas of risk.
Monitoring and Reporting
Track Project Progress: Continuously monitor the progress of the project by comparing actual performance with the planned schedule. Use project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) to track timelines, costs, and progress.
Performance Analysis: Use earned value management (EVM) and other performance metrics to assess project performance and identify any deviations from the plan.
Status Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management, project managers, and clients regarding the status of the project. Prepare progress reports, highlighting any delays or issues that need to be addressed.
Forecasting: Predict future project performance and timelines based on current progress, and adjust schedules as necessary to ensure on-time completion.
