  • Påse at personell i industrivernet innehar riktig kompetanse og at kompetansen til den enkelte kan dokumenteres, samt følge opp nødvendig trening og øvelser innen beredskap.
  • Være ansvarlig for utarbeidelse og revisjon av beredskapsplan, samt identifisere og følge opp forbedringsaktiviteter innen beredskap.
  • Påse at drift og vedlikehold av beredskapsutstyr blir ivaretatt.
  • Være ansvarlig for stedlig tilsyn – branntilsyn fra offentlig myndighet.
  • Være kontaktperson mot nødetater, mot NSO (Næringslivets sikkerhetsorganisasjon), og inn mot modifikasjoner og prosjekter som berører beredskap.
