**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Assists in developing techniques/strategies to expedite the overall process of tendering starting from quantity surveying to completing the Estimation Sheets.
- Performs site visits and gather necessary information such as accessibility, availability of electricity and services.
- Negotiate and prepare bids for tenders
- Provide estimates for projects, including negotiating schedule of rates with selected Builders and then historical data of tendered prices on all projects for evaluation and assists in forecasting future costs including updating of the estimating database.
- Control and coordinate the activities of the Estimating function for construction projects and engages with estimators to prepare Pre-Tender Estimates.
- Coordinate with the quantity surveyors to schedule costs related to the project and communicate cost estimates with concerned departments.
- Coordinate with tendering department staff to schedule project costs, resources and quantities as required and prepare tender prices.
- Communicate with external entities such as subcontractors / suppliers to prepare cost estimates by gathering cost related information as needed.
- Perform all the other tasks assigned by Tender Manager within the capacity of Role.Updating the Technical Manager on a regular basis about progress and areas of difficulty
- Works closely with the project planner to ensure all Submittals are submitted in accordance with the project schedule
- Manages the in-field engineering activities of the Project.
- Responsible to ensure that Construction Sites are supplied with all documentation, methods and materials needed to carry out the works.
- Responsible for collecting and processing technical information between the contractors and the Project team.
- Prepare work requisition for all required permanent materials, and prepare material submittals and follow-up of the approval process.
- Focal point for collecting and processing Correction Notices to the contractors.
- Participates in all design issues to ensure the best working practices and constructability processes are used.
- To read and interpret construction plans; specifications, and inspection procedures.
- Pipelines Construction Project Budget and Time Schedule Preparation, Follow up for Pipeline Construction Activities, Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reports Preparation, Project Control Sheet Preparation (Manhours or Money weights calculation), Preparation and review Monthly Invoices with client
- Perform all the other tasks assigned by Technical Manager within the capacity of Role.
