**Wells supervisor**

The role holder is responsible for the overall supervision of operations, maintenance and

monitoring of Groundwater Monitoring Stations, Meteorology Stations, Well Field Stations,Brackish water Mobile RO Units, Auxiliaries, Pumping Stations and related Water Pipes located in different areas of Qatar and ensure that all systems are ready to supply potable water whenever required. The role holder has knowledge, skills and experienced in water infrastructure projects, operation and maintenance, troubleshooting, personnel supervision, environmental laws, water quality, water sampling, safety rules and regulation.

**Major Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Core Responsibilities**:

- Overall supervision of operations and monitoring of Groundwater Monitoring

Stations, meteorology instruments, Well Field Stations and harvesting and

recharge wells whenever required.
- Overall supervision of effective maintenance (both preventive and corrective)

of Groundwater Monitoring Stations, Well Field Stations, harvesting and

recharge wells and ensure the availability of all required spare parts.
- Collect and maintain proper keeping of data, records, reports, and documents

related to operation and maintenance for Groundwater Monitoring Stations,

Well Field Stations, harvesting and recharge wells and ensure that all

parameters are within the standard operation ranges or specifications.
- Training of subordinate’s staff about operation, maintenance, and monitoring

of Groundwater Monitoring Stations, Well Field Stations, harvesting, and

recharge wells including troubleshooting.
- Supervise in the calibration and maintenance of all monitoring instruments,

water quality instruments (on-line and portable), Groundwater Monitoring

Stations instruments and other related instruments under Well and

Groundwater section.
- Prepare and submit reports for all field activities including incidents.
- Supervise water quality monitoring, data logging & recording, collection of

water sample, including submission and reporting of collected data both verbal

and written.
- Execute all field activities according to standard procedures, environmental

laws, safety rules and regulations.
- Perform other tasks assigned to him by his superiors for any activities related

to well and groundwater such as monitoring, operation, maintenance,

inspection and monitoring progress of works for on-going projects.
- Attend and witness the testing and commissioning activities, troubleshooting,

emergencies, minor and major activities at site.
- Attend meetings whenever requested by his superiors.
- Provide technical assistance to Well and Groundwater section.
- Responsible for preparing requisitions for procurement and maintaining

sufficient quantities of chemicals and other consumables (e.g. Disinfectants,

Anticalin, pH neutralizer, Mineralization Chemicals, Preservation Chemicals,

Cartridge Filters, Calibration solutions for on-line instruments, Diesel Fuel,

Spare Parts and etc.)
- Assists the team (Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation) in troubleshooting

and analysing root causes of faults, in order to minimize breakdown time.
- Provides technical expertise to other capital projects.
- Overall supervision of the wells and groundwater quality and quantity.
- Monitor the conditions of wells and groundwater sources.
- Any other tasks assigned by his Superiors.

**Qualification Requirements: (Minimum Requirements)**
- Diploma in engineering or higher (wells drilling, electro mechanical, Civil or

equivalent
- Written and Spoken English is essential, Arabic is preferred.
- Microsoft Office skills

**Job Experience**
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience
- Certification in wells drilling and development is preferred.
